WE’RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT!
The Anchor, Huntingdon
We took the whole nursery on a lovely walk across the beautiful fields behind our nursery.
We took magnifying glasses to spot wildlife and found so many insects. For our younger ones, we pretended we were on a bear hunt and jumped in lots of puddles and made our own footprints. We even spotted an aeroplane!
FARMYARD FUN!
What did the toddlers get up to? Well, Hurley Room had a week full of learning about farms and animals.
The children participated in a fun activity where they made their own farm out of natural resources.
They also learned about all the different types of farm animals and made pens for them on their farm.
The children loved this activity, they read lots of farm-related books last week and loved playing with animals and tractors!
GO SNOW!
Bluebell, Eltisley
The children love playing with snow, but it was too icy for them to go out and play in last time – so we brought it inside for them to enjoy! The toddlers and babies also explored the snow, with the toddlers adding paint and trying to paint each snowball.
TRAY TO GO!
The Beacon, Rendlesham
Our experienced practitioners put these trays together to capture the children’s interest – and they were drawn in instantly!
Lots of learning through play ensued – exploring, investigating, thinking together as a group, language development, gross motor skills and fine motor skills. The learning is endless!
BOX CAR!
Empty boxes can be a great starting point for creative and imagination play for children.
This box became a car in which to drive their friends around!
EASTER’S COME EARLY!
The Appletree, Attleborough
Our lovely Russets had great fun recently, beginning to celebrate Easter by creating special hats using a variety of craft resources!
SPRING INTO ACTION!
Head Start, Ramsey
Spring has sprung! The children had a lovely time in the garden recently. We made the most of the first week of the season.
We took our creative supplies and painted daffodils, spoke about daffodils being a flower of spring and how it’s now the start of spring
We then explored the mud area to find worms and insects. We’re looking forward to spending more time in the garden planting, exploring, climbing and being active!
