Nurseries News Round-Up – Week 56

Your weekly round-up of news from around our wonderful Golden Apples Family nurseries is here!

FARMYARD FUN!

The Beacon, Rendlesham

As part of our Animal Week in Toddlers we had a very exciting day creating our own Old McDonald farm.

We learned about habitats by matching the animals to where they live and created animal artwork using feather and animal prints.

BRUSHING UP!

The Appletree, Attleborough

Following on from our theme of ‘people that help us’, Russets have been learning all about the dentist.

This morning the children used a white board pen to colour in plastic teeth, pretending that the black marks were germs.

The children then used a toothbrush to clean the germs from the teeth. As the children did this, we talked about germs and why we brush our teeth.

The children then read a book called Danny goes to the Dentist, where Danny had bad teeth. We then talked about food that was good and bad for our teeth.

COME AND JOIN THE ARK!

The Ark, Watton

The Ark Nursery currently have limited spaces available within their Pre-School room for September 2023.

The nursery, which recently achieved a Good Osted grade, provides children with a rich environment and a variety of meaningful learning opportunities alongside supportive and fantastic staff.

Please get in touch either by emailing stephanie@goldenapples.co.uk or calling 01953 881829.

POTS AND BANGS!

The Cornerstone, Martlesham

The Ducklings explored the musical wall with interest, using utensils to bang the pots and pans, showing good fine motor and sharing skills.

WATER LOAD OF FUN!

Head Start, Ramsey

Summer has arrived and we had a lovely week at nursery in the garden exploring different water activities.

The children especially enjoyed the bubbles, the sea animals in blue water and sea animals frozen in blue water.

The children also enjoyed a range of books – either by themselves or with an adult.

We got the impression this week that Shark in the Park was a favourite as we made a telescope out of kitchen roll and the children asked to read the book over and over again.

The children also enjoyed making their own Father's Day cards, using their fine motor skills to stick, draw, and write in their cards.

Our babies have explored mark making this week, using cars to roll in paint.

PICTURE PERFECT!

Woodbridge Day Nursery, Woodbridge

We are very excited that we have a photographer coming in to the nursery. They will do individual photos, sibling photos, and graduation photos for those who are leaving us to go to big school in September.

Book in for sibling photos or if your child does not usually attend on the Friday.
